The Queenstown Trail
 

This trail is great for the whole family -threading through the Wakatipu Basin on a mix of lakeside paths, country lanes, quiet roads and cross-country cycleways, it links Queenstown, Arrowtown and the Gibbston Valley – with countless sights and activities to enjoy in between.

Along the way you'll enjoy breathtaking mountain views, lake view, bungy jumping, jet boating and historic buildings, bridges and landmarks. This trail network can be split into day rides and is well supported by bike hire operators - just ask at our front desk!

Around The Mountains Cycle Trail

This leisurely trail passes through the Southland’s rural heartland and majestic mountain country around Queenstown.

Start your journey from the foot of Walter Peak and wind into the beautiful Von Valley and past the stunning Mavora Lakes. You'll then head down the Eyre Mountains and pass through historic towns of Mossburn, Lumsden, Athol and Garston, finishing up at Lake Wakatipu.

Highlights of this trail includes stunning mountain scenery, Walter Peak Station, TSS Earnslaw steamship cruise across Lake Wakatipu, glacier-carved Mavora Lakes and the sparkling Lake Wakatipu!
